Group Horizon accredited to the matrix Standard
Group Horizon has maintained its matrix Standard accreditation, demonstrating the high quality Careers Information, Advice and Guidance (CIAG) services it provides to learners and employers.
The matrix Standard is the international quality standard for organisations that deliver information, advice and/or guidance, either as their sole purpose or as part of their service offering.
Currently, Group Horizon uses learner achievement and satisfaction rates to measure the success of its CIAG services. The organisation has set an achievement target of 65%; current performance is 60%. Additionally, the introduction of the EPA co-ordinator role has helped Group Horizon achieve an EPA pass rate of 96.8%, against an initial target of 80%, with 60% of learners achieving a distinction. Group Horizon has a target of 80% for positive learner feedback and has recently achieved 88%.
During the assessment, staff described how learners’ confidence increased, particularly in their presentation and communication skills.
Feedback among Group Horizon’s learners has continued to be positive as they prepare for their future careers:
“Support is only a phone call away.”
“The staff are always asking what we want to do in the future.”
Karen Nichols, Managing Director at Group Horizon, said: “I am delighted that Group Horizon has once again achieved the matrix Standard. It reflects the commitment of our team to delivering high-quality, impartial CIAG and demonstrates our focus on putting learners and employers at the heart of everything we do. Achieving this accreditation provides valuable external recognition of our standards while helping us continually improve the service we offer.”
