Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Children and Young People’s Mental Health

One in eight people aged 5 to 19 now have a diagnosable mental health condition, such as an anxiety disorder, depression or a conduct disorder. This course aims to increase candidates’ knowledge and awareness of children and young people’s mental health. They will explore the factors that make an individual more vulnerable to developing mental ill health as well as the factors that can protect their well-being.

Eligibility

This training programme is fully funded for those aged 19 and over (Eligibility is generally unemployed and in receipt of benefits).

Course Delivery & Duration

This is a distance learning programme which requires you to have access to a computer and internet. Once enrolled you will be given access to our digital platform with online learning materials and online assessments. This course can take up to 6 weeks to complete.

  • Understand how to support children and young people with mental health concerns
