Level 2 Certificate in the Principles of the Prevention and Control of Infections in Health-Care Setting

This course will help apply good practice relating to infection prevention and control in the workplace.

Poor hygiene and cleanliness procedures can have serious ramifications for patients, staff and organisations alike. As such, it’s crucial that all staff within a health-care environment understand their role in relation to infection prevention and control. This learning programme looks at the meaning and importance of infection control, as well as the causes of infections and the conditions in which they thrive and spread. It also outlines the methods used to prevent and control the spread of infection.

Eligibility

This training programme is fully funded for those aged 19 and over (Eligibility is generally unemployed and in receipt of benefits).

Course Delivery & Duration

This is a distance learning programme which requires you to have access to a computer
and internet. Once enrolled you will be given access to our digital platform with online
learning materials and online assessments. This course can take up to 6 weeks to complete.
